Hmm exhaust port = for main cannon? That would explain the lack of boom, it occurs when they try to fire that thing and it denies them.

Took me awhile, but I finally realized that the "chunk" sound effect was for the main cannon's hatch opening, not the sound of a laser. I was staring at that panel going "What kind of laser goes "chunk"?"

.....................ummmm *looks over shoulder at the super nova* welllllll not like any one well notes a star system missing.......thoooo why don't they just shoot the vents of the ships main thrusters you would be supprised how how LITTLE it takes to make a chain reacton go off and well KABOOM!! *uses the Impperals thrusters to cook up some smors*
