      <title>Some Sad News</title>
      <author>Ben</author>
<description>Couple of quick things in this update. First of all, Tria and I are about ready to start writing the Special Awesome Thank You Comic for the Kickstarter. There's still one or two of you who haven't sent me your photos, please do so, I don't want you guys to miss out, but we've held off as long as we can. May 7th, 2012 and I'll have to start finalizing the script. Oh yeah, you guys should really consider buying "Volume One":http://celstyle.com/store/index.php if you haven't already.

Now, some disturbing news. A few of you have mentioned that you've been receiving your packages only partially filled (Only the Evil Tower of Evil, as opposed to Evil Tower of Evil and Volume One). Well, I just received an email from somebody who received an already open and empty package. Please, if this happens, contact me immediately and send (email) me all the relevant shipping info. Specifically, save the packaging and try to get any barcodes and send/receive dates on the packages themselves. I'm hoping these were just isolated incidents, or a series of coincidences, but it's becoming clear I'm going to have to start gathering data on the off chance I need to make a case out of this issue.

Well, anyway, some happy news. We're going to be at "Stumptown Comic Festival":http://www.stumptowncomics.com/ this weekend. Sadly they didn't let us in proper, but Jake from "Modest Medusa":http://www.modestmedusa.com/ was kind enough to table share with me. I'm sure it has nothing to do with hauling all his stuff to the con. Hope to see you guys there, and please, watch out for messed up packages from us.

      <title>Sakura-Con Ahoy!</title>
      <author>Ben</author>
<description>Sorry for the short notice on this, but I only just found out about this a couple of weeks ago. But, we will be at Sakura-Con this year. As usual we&#8217;ll be bundled in with "Cel Style":http://celstyle.com/ table. Stop by, chat, buy a copy of "Dubious Company Volume One":http://celstyle.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&amp;productId=20, or one of "Cel Style&#8217;s":http://celstyle.com/ awesome games.

Speaking of which, you late nighters might enjoy this; one of our ads that&#8217;s been floating around has been for a game called "BxB":http://celstyle.com/?p=432. It&#8217;s "Cel Style&#8217;s":http://celstyle.com/ new game and I&#8217;ll be game mastering a session at Sakura-Con. I&#8217;ll be running a two hour session from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday. The game is based off the standard High School Anime tropes. If you enjoyed our high school arc you&#8217;ll love this game. Or if you just want a touch of my narrative styles personally. Sadly, the game only fits 4 people, but sign up, it&#8217;ll be awesome! Anyway, see you at Sakura-Con.

      <title>Volume One Release Party</title>
      <author>Ben</author>
<description>The release party went rather well. A special thanks goes to Cosmic Monkey Games in Portland for not only providing such a nice space for us, but for also letting us Skype in Tria. Speaking of which, the Skyping in of Tria worked wonderfully, she managed to entertain the group of people that showed up. A big thanks to all the fans that showed up. Wouldn't have been the same without you folks.

And with that, Volume One is officially on sale! If you've completely missed out on it you can purchase them over at the "Cel*Style Store.":http://celstyle.com/store/index.php Thanks everyone, keep reading, and see you all next Volume/Convention.

<title>The News of Con Breakdowns (And Tagalong Breakdowns)</title>
      <author>Ben</author>
<description>Anime on Display was fun, exhausting, but fun. I&#8217;ll admit most of the exhaustion was from the two day drive down. Then the second, two day drive back up. But the con itself was well organized, with a super friendly staff. Our panel was a bit thinner than at Kumoricon, but that&#8217;s to be expected when you range outside your home location. We did have our friend Ewen Cluney there giving his input on our panel (here&#8217;s his "blog":http://yarukizero.wordpress.com/) and he gave me an &#8220;I &#8216;heart&#8217; catgirls" sticker (which is now gracing my laptop). It&#8217;s always nice to meet new friends.

Other high points include meeting Ian and Jess McConville and Matt Boyd of "Three Panel Soul":http://threepanelsoul.com/. They were all super friendly and completely willing to put up with with my fan slobbering (Ian&#8217;s older comic, Mac Hall was a staple of mine back in the day). I also met and shook the hand of Jayson Thiessen, supervising director of &#8220;My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.&#8221; He was also very friendly and willing to put up with my fan slobbering (AND I got his autograph!). Alright, I&#8217;ll stop with the fanboyism. Overall, I&#8217;d say it was a great place to debut Volume One.

Speaking of which, I&#8217;m sure some of you may be tired of hearing this, but Volume One is now on sale at "Cel*Style":http://celstyle.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&amp;productId=20 If you&#8217;re a fan of the comic (or you just like Tria and I as people) you should totally buy the book, it represents about three years worth of comicing for us, and another about eight months of hard work getting the actually physical book together and organized. It looks spectacular. For those of you that pre-ordered through the Kickstarter: I&#8217;m organizing your rewards now (and actually waiting for a few of them to get to my place) so I&#8217;ll expect to start sending them out the first week of March.

In other news, I&#8217;ll be giving a release party/signing at Cosmic Monkey Comics in Portland on March 17th and as a special treat we&#8217;ll be able to skype in Tria. Yaaay! I realize that may be a bit out of your way for some folk, but I&#8217;d love it if any of you in the area could stop by and say &#8220;Hi.&#8221; Jake (from "Modest Medusa":http://www.modestmedusa.com/) and I will also be at "Chibi-Chibi Con":http://chibichibicon.net/ in a couple of weeks (it was kind of a last minute thing, but I believe we&#8217;ve got a table and are presenting our panel). And last, but not least I&#8217;ll be at "Gamestorm":http://www.gamestorm.org/ at the end of March. Though, I&#8217;m mostly going to play a whack ton of games, not as a Dubious Company guy. Still the Indie Hurricane both should be stocking at least a few copies of Volume One and if any of you want to drop me a line and get your game on with me; I&#8217;d love play a few rounds of...whatever game we decide to play.

Oh, and Tria has just told me (as of writing this post) that the friendly folk at "Loom Studios":http://studioloom.com/vampirefetish/ have given us a link cause they like our comic that much! Go us! Anyway, I'm all newsed out (so much so I'm randomly making verbs out of nouns).

<title>Info, Lots of Info (We Love Info)</title>
      <author>Ben</author>
<description>Hello everyone! It's been awhile (it's always been awhile). We've got a lot of news to cover, and it's all spectacular. Anyway, we're burning screen space here, so let's get started.

First off, and most importantly, Jake (from "Modest Medusa":http://www.modestmedusa.com/) and I will be at Anime on Display. We'll presenting our panel &#8220;Dubious Medusa&#8221; which, if you've been to Kumoricon, you know is absolutely phenomenal. The panel starts at 11am on Saturday and runs for an hour and a half. We'll be talking about the process of making our comics, what makes them so awesome, and imparting any wisdom that's requested of us. I'm not really sure what we're going to do with the rest of the hour and twenty minutes after that, but I'm sure we'll think of something worthwhile.

We'll also be in the Dealer's Room under the table "Cel*Style":http://celstyle.com/ which is the company that we'll be distributing Volume One through. We'll actually be selling copies of Volume One at the table, so if you missed it at the Kickstarter, now's the time to grab one. Or just stop by and say, &#8220;hi.&#8221; (I loooooove meeting fans).

Or, if you're completely strapped for cash, I'm donating a copy to "Sugar Bomb Girls":http://www.facebook.com/sugarbombgirls for a prize to give away during their show. Hit them up (you&#8217;ll get a great show regardless). They're run by some friends of mine and they've been working super hard on the show for the past several months, so they won't let you down.

I guess you can sum up this whole post with, &#8220;Volume One is almost done and Anime on Display is going to be awesome, you should come and see us!&#8221; Hope to see you all there.
