Cons Cons Cons! Sunday Sunday...Saturday?

Posted by Ben at 2012-08-07 01:07:18 UTC

Alright folks! In less than a week we’ll be heading over to Geek Girl Con where we will be (as always) sharing a space with the ever popular Jake Richmond from Modest Medusa. We’re table number (s) 503 and 504. And, as a special and awesome treat, the amazing and talented Pixie Dash will be there helping at the booth. For those of you who don’t know, Pixie is a semi-professional cosplayer, and she’s putting all her considerable skill into becoming Tiren for the convention. So stop on by this weekend and meet your favorite catgirl.

On a semi-related note: I’ll be at Gen Con pretty much the weekend after (giving me a whole whooping ONE day of rest). I’ll be a gamemaster for Games On Demand, and pretty much situated in Room 238 during the following times:

Fri: 4pm-10pm
Saturday: 12pm-4pm
Sunday: 10am-12pm

Come and enjoy my narrative ramblings as I take you through various table-top RPGs. Mostly I’ll be focusing on the Cel*style line of games. But don’t worry, they’re super fun to play.

And lastly, I wanted to hold off on this a bit, but I might as well tell you this now, but Tria and I have been working on another project on the sides. With luck we’ll be able to unveil it come September, and I’ll release more details as they come. But look forward to it!

Upcoming Fall Con Schedule

Upcoming Con Schedule

Alright, getting some confirmations coming in with various conventions. First up is Geek Girl Con on August 11 and 12 (sorry for the short warning). In addition to our usual table partner (Jake from Modest Medusa) we’re going to have a particularly awesome person helping us out at the booth for that con, so if you guys can make it, it’ll be completely worthwhile (I’ll let her introduce herself if she wishes).

After that we’re basically hopping a plane immediately to Gen Con. Going to admit, that’s a bit of a weird con for us. I’m actually going mostly to play games, but I’ve also signed up to game-master several sessions, so look for Ben Hsu with Games on Demand if you’d like to see what I have to offer (sadly, we don’t have a Dubious Company Game yet, we’ll have to play other things).

At any rate, that’s all the info I have right now, as always, hope to see you all there!

From Out of the Depths

Hey folks. It’s time for more news, because I only really use these rants to tell you about fun things.

Right, let’s get started. First off we’re going to be at Geek Girl Con come August. We’ve got a table in the Artist Alley (with our usual sharing partner Jake Richmond of Modest Medusa and we’re trying to get our usual panel (which if you haven’t seen yet, you should), but we’re still waiting to hear back from the folk at Geek Girl Con. But, at the very least I can meet and great some of you Seattle Folk.

Oh, speaking of Jake, he’s got a new Kickstarter out. Season 2 of Modest Medusa is here, and it needs your help. Well, it probably doesn’t NEED your help, but you probably don’t want to miss out on the Kickstarter rewards. I know Tria is still kicking herself about missing out on the last one.

The last bit of news is that my friend Skull Dixon (yes, his name is Skull, he’s THAT awesome) has just started a new webcomic, Goblin Tale . It’s a cute little tale of a cute little goblin. I know we can’t really fill your cute quota here (Tiren’s kitty toys being an exception. Also the raccoon. Also the baby dragon.) so head on over and get your fill of cute at Goblin Tale .

And that, dear readers, is the end of our news update for this…um…however long it takes me to update these blasted things. I hope I see you all in August.
